KO WAI MATOU
We are a FREE kaupapa Māori Cancer Support Service available to Māori and high needs population. We consist of one Registered Nurse and two Community Health Workers. We aim to provide the best evidence based quality care to Māori and their whānau

HOW CAN WE HELP YOU?

We can help provide you with:
  • Collect resources and information for your knowledge
  • Medical processes, terminology, medication and treatment options explained
  • Coordinating transportation needs
  • Help obtain prosthesis, wigs, hats etc
  • Tūroro and whānau advocacy support
  • Support the coordination of childcare arrangements
  • Ensure correct benefit entitlements
  • Palliative care; continue support for client and whānau
  • Bereavement support
WHO QUALIFIES FOR THIS SERVICE?

  • Māori or high needs populations
  • Diagnosed with Cancer
  • 18yrs and over
  • Residing within the Auckland City catchment
HOW CAN YOU BE REFERRED TO OUR SERVICE?
KO WAI KA TUKUNA E KOE KI TENEI ROPU
  • Self or Whānau referral
  • Primary Care Provider
  • Hospital, Hospice
  • Māori Providers Other agencies ie: Cancer Society, Māori Community groups and churches
